Corporation for Independent Living (CIL) is pleased to announce that Samantha VanSchoick has been promoted to Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

“Since Sam joined CIL she has worked to build strong relationships with our partner provider agencies and has been steadfast in her dedication to identifying and developing new relationships,” says President / CEO Kent Schwendy. “We’re thrilled to have her as part of our team and to be able to recognize her incredible contributions to CIL.”

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships focuses on building partnerships with client agencies, advocates, foundations, trade associations, and other partners. In this role, Sam will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and goals, and to develop and implement integrated marketing, business development, and public relations plans. Sam, a self-described story-teller and people-person, believes that with the right partnerships, we can create a world where all people have access to quality housing that enhances independence in neighborhoods of their choice.

“I’m lucky to be able to work every day pursuing a mission I’m passionate about – with the big bonus of doing it with teammates and partners that make it fun,” says Sam. “I look forward to continuing to expand CIL’s geographic reach so we can develop housing for more people who need it.”

Samantha is a past Communications Chair for Dignity Alliance Massachusetts, a coalition of organizations across the Commonwealth that believe in dignity, choice, and self-determination for aging and disabled persons. She is a Past-President of the SMPS Connecticut, is a Leadership Greater Hartford Quest 2018 Graduate, and was named a 40 Under 40 Outstanding Woman in Construction by the Professional Women in Construction.
